Word of Grace

Pastor Rick Gerhartz

I was involved in teaching home Bible studies back in the early nineties, and around 1994 I increasingly began to sense the need to be equipped for ministry. And so I did some research and began taking correspondence courses through Chafer Theological Seminary.

In 1997 I was introduced to the leadership at Duluth Bible Church, and after a great deal of prayer, my wife and I moved to Superior, WI to be a part of Duluth Bible Church and enroll in the Grace Institute of Biblical Studies. While in "G.I.B.S." I was involved in teaching Sunday School, several prison ministries, preaching at several of our sister churches, and I went on a mission's trip to El Salvador in 2004.

In 2005 my wife and I moved back to Milwaukee to be a part of Word of Grace Bible Church (a church plant by Duluth Bible Church), and minister alongside Pastor Tom Stegall. I was eventually appointed a deacon in August of 2006, and then an associate pastor in May of 2009. In this position I assisted Pastor Stegall in counseling, teaching, administrating, and leading. In January of 2012 I assumed the senior pastor role at Word of Grace Bible Church.
